Texada Island Boat Yard
Texada Island, BC, Canada is located across the Malaspina Strait west of Powell River, Nelson Island and the Sechelt Peninsula.
Texada Island is also located across the Strait of Georgia east from Courtenay/Comox and Vancouver Island.
Take the ferry from Powell River (Westview Terminal) to Texada Island (Blubber Bay Terminal). Drive 8.2km along Blubber Bay Road towards Van Anda. Turn left at the Gas Station onto Gillies Bay Road. Keep left at the “Y”, turn left onto Marble Bay Road. Continue on Marble Bay Road, past Sellentin Street, and keep left at the “Y”. Continue to Texada Island Boat Yard. About 9km from the ferry.

Texada has a public VFR airport with a 3000 ft asphalt runway. No scheduled air service at this time.
Pacific Coastal Airlines offers daily scheduled flights between the Vancouver South Terminal and Powell River Airport.
There is no public transportation on Texada Island, so you’ll have to arrange for a ride from the Gillies Bay Airport to Texada Island Boat Yard (about 15km). Give us a call to arrange a ride.
You’ll find Texada Island Boat Yard on the east side of Texada Island, across the Malaspina Strait from Powell River.
Just west of Van Anda Cove, you’ll enter Sturt Bay (locally known as Marble Bay) between Marble Bluff and Hodgson Point.
Cruising past the Sturt Bay breakwater, you’ll find transient moorage at Texada Boat Club. You’ll also find two small boat docks offering private moorage (Ceasars Boat Club and Marble Bay Marina). West towards the shore, you’ll find safe overnight anchorage.
You should see the lime kiln now, and concrete boat ramp. That’s Texada Island Boat Yard.
